Being narrow-minded in a relationship can most definitely cause problems. There will always be differences in belief, principle, or affiliation that if not understood and respected, can lead to conflicts. A good boyfriend can look beyond the confines of his own horizons! A driving force to constantly improve exists in a good boyfriend. He does not want to live a stagnant life; rather, he seeks a life of purpose and continuous growth.

He pushes himself to excel and never falters in chasing his dreams. He showcases such determination not only to benefit himself but also to be an inspiration and positive guide to his partner. A good boyfriend does not only stick around during happy and convenient times; he remains committed to his partner through thick and thin. He shows resilience in making the relationship work for as much as he reasonably can, and he does not purposefully commit acts that would damage the bond that he and his partner share.

I think that many of the traits that we say distinguish a good boyfriend or partner, or man, or whichever word you prefer are often considered "normal" traits in a woman.
